EagleTech Thesaurus is an individual-led initiative by Muhammad Hussain, dedicated to delivering language learning apps that are smart, accessible, and completely free. The French Thesaurus App is designed for students, language learners, and educators who want to improve their French vocabulary using detailed and offline word references.

📚 French Thesaurus

The French Thesaurus App offers a powerful offline word database stored on your phone. Users can search for French words and get:

  • Grammar types (e.g., noun, verb, adjective)

  • Word meanings and definitions

  • Synonyms and antonyms

  • All information is delivered instantly without requiring an internet connection.

This app is a lightweight and efficient tool for expanding your French vocabulary and understanding language structure easily.

⚙️ Development & Technology

  • Developed using Android Studio, Google’s official IDE.

  • Utilizes only Google-approved SDKs no third-party or unauthorized APIs are included.

  • The app displays minimal AdMob ads for financial support, helping to maintain and improve the app.

  • AdMob uses your device’s advertising ID to serve relevant ads. No personal data is collected or shared.

🔐 Data Collection & Permissions

To deliver a complete language utility experience, the app requires limited permissions and collects minimal data strictly for functionality and user support.

It supports offline functionality by storing all word data in app-specific internal storage, ensuring fast access without the need for an internet connection.

In addition, the app allows users to:

  • Record voice input via Google’s speech recognition API to convert speech to text for searching words.

  • Select images from gallery or camera to extract text using in-app OCR tools (text scanning).

✅ Permissions Requested:

  • Photos and Videos (Media Access):
    Required when users choose an image from the gallery or camera for text scanning. The image is used only at the moment of processing and is never uploaded or stored externally.

  • Microphone (Voice Input):
    Used to capture speech and convert it into text through Google’s voice recognition service. Voice data is used only within the app and is never recorded, stored, or shared.

🔒 Data Handling:

  • No personal data (e.g., email, contact info, messages, or documents) is collected or shared.

  • The app does not upload any images, voice, or files to online servers.

  • Word data is stored locally in the app’s sandboxed storage for offline access only.

📊 SDK & Advertisements

  • The app uses Google official SDKs only, ensuring security and compliance with platform standards.

  • We display AdMob banner and interstitial ads for financial support and future development.

  • The app collects the Advertising ID provided by Android OS, solely for ad personalization in accordance with Google Play policy.

  • No third-party SDKs or ad networks are used.
